Strands | Swatch X Ecal
Strands revisits various paintings from the history of art whose treatment of color was pioneering. These century-old pigments are then set in motion by the power of new modern simulation techniques. The result is the color expertise of master painters coupled with a youthful, modern dynamism of form.
A web-app allowed each customer to choose a customized location within the canvas, so that each piece was unique.
The design was marketed on a large scale in the Americas, Europe and Asia in autumn 2019.
